Profix Construction invest £150,000 to up-skill all employees

Robert Camilleri, Managing Director of Fast Grwoth 50 category winners Profix Construction, and his team picked up their official Training Partnership certificate from the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) headquarters, marking the start of a £150,000 investment in its skilled labour force across South Wales.

The training fund has been put together with the help of Skills Growth Wales grant funding and company profits from the previous year. Profix have been working towards rolling out a company wide training programme for the past eight months receiving expert advice from CIOB and the Welsh Government’s Skills Growth Wales programme.

Robert explains, “We are a fast growing company in a niche market and want to stay at the very top of our game.  To do that we need to ensure that our workforce are happy, productive, fully trained and at the top of their game. We also want to attract the best talent to come to Profix. This training programme is a hugely important part of our growth plans”. In a letter confirming Profix’s acceptance as an official Training Partner CIOB chairman Chris Blythe said, “During these difficult times, it is heartening to know that Profix Construction is committed to assisting staff to achieve their full potential through training and development”.

The training programme will included a range of courses and qualifications with individual team members also receiving one to one development interviews and advice. Courses will range from management courses to advanced craft, available to all employees from the directors to the skilled trades people.
