One Team Logic

It was founded by Martin Baker and Mike Glanville who had worked together for eight years as Chief Constable and Assistant Chief Constable (Operations) for Dorset Police. They are also both school governors and between them have over 75 years’ experience in safeguarding children and adults at risk. They formed the company in 2014 with Darryl Morton who leads the software development and information security arrangements for the company.

Success Factor

The hero product in its portfolio is MyConcern, the Queen’s Award-winning safeguarding software designed by child protection professionals and created by world class software developers. Initially, it was created to enable the easy management of all safeguarding concerns in schools and colleges but other sector-specific versions of the solution have also been adopted by a growing number of local authorities, charities and high-profile sporting organisations. Having proven itself in the education industry (being used by thousands of schools and colleges in the UK and worldwide) MyConcern now not only serves the education sector but other sector-specific versions of the solution have also been adopted by a fast-growing number of local authorities, charities and high-profile sporting organisations. Whatever the industry, MyConcern serves the same purpose namely to keep children, young people and adults safe and enable those responsible for their safety to act quickly to prevent harm. It also enables secure information sharing with trusted professionals in social care, health and policing to protect children and young people. It also allows staff the ability to record, report and manage all safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral concerns using a trusted, secure and intuitive platform, enabling early intervention, providing safeguarding leads with peace of mind that they’re meeting their statutory, legal and moral obligations to children and young people under their care. More recently, One Team Logic has diversified from a single product to a diverse range of products and services namely Clarity (which provides high-level, anonymised reporting to enables senior Leaders to compare establishments, detect trends, identify actionable insights and track progress); Sentry (a safeguarding software tool that effectively manages a school’s safer recruitment process and acts as the Single Central Record; and Safeguarding Training (a wide range of CPD certified courses, delivered by experienced practitioners in person and online which have been designed to provide practical knowledge and the skills required to confidently carry out safeguarding effectively in a variety of roles).

Currently employing more than 100 people, One Team Logic will continue with its vision of protecting people around the globe from abuse, harm and neglect by bringing together the best technologies with world-class safeguarding expertise, as well as forging the way to establish a global safeguarding industry as a category in its own right.
