UK Leisure Living

The motivation was to provide a stable income for the founder Gareth Jones who owned (and still owns) a business in the turbulent energy market where business growth is dictated by Government grants. Instead, he wanted something that was a normal business where he was the only person that would dictate his success. Moving into the leisure sector was the best thing he has ever done although he faced a number of challenges. For example, trying to get credit facility to help cash flow as a new business was tricky but the firm still continued. Another challenge was actually installing all the tubs the business was selling which was helped by providing full training to customers.

Success Factor

The growth of the holiday sector has contributed to the firm’s success and it quickly secured a number of key contracts and UK Leisure Living is currently working on new relationships that could deliver over 300 hot tubs over the next couple of years. The company also sells good quality products that are well priced for the Welsh market and it prides itself on giving the best service possible.

The Future

Over the next five years, the firm envisages a huge growth in the holiday sector and it is working on a number of key projects that can escalate the business to new heights. As a result, it will look to expand its showroom offerings to bigger and better things. The composite decking business is growing and within the next three years, it could be a million pound division on its own. The new StopDigging business has great potential and will pave the way for the future in foundations, as concrete becomes more expensive.
