High Noon Stores (Carmarthen)

The business came about because the founder, Gordon Miller, had the desire to be self-employed and to provide communities with a real alternative to driving to the supermarket for fuel and supplies. He also wanted to reinvigorate the local shop and provide a truly useful service. The major challenges he faced in the first three years of the business was funding growth and supporting by finding the right people to work in his venture.

Success Factor

The main factor supporting the growth of the business has been a formula that fills a niche. This has meant locations to grow have been fairly easily available. The successful formula and plan has also meant support from suppliers that helped to facilitate rapid growth.

The Future

In the next five years, the business will grow further in site numbers and locations with the aim of having at least 150 sites by the end of 2019.
