It was recognised that the construction industry has always had multi disciplined mechanical and electrical contractors, so the motivation to start the business was to provide the market place with a multidisciplinary technology contractor focusing on customer care and the one-to-one contact with customers and clients. Early on, there was a need to have an association with major brands and industry accreditations for the different technology industries and BMS carry SSAIB, PLASA, CHAS, SAFE Contractor, IPAF, CSCS and are installation partners of Siemens, Sony, Barco, Krone TE and TOA

The success of the business has been its ability, through its committed in-house team of specialist engineers, to provide bespoke systems to clients’ needs and budget demands. Whatever the project, the focus and approach has always been to provide a core infrastructure to allow the systems to develop and upgrade at minimal cost. BMS has an excellent record of delivering on time and on budget, providing excellent support for clients and, as a result, repeat business and recommendations continue to flow. BMS also has the willingness to work in partnership with others to bring different types of technologies, products and services to market through joint ventures with other businesses or contractors.

The Future

Through a process of continual development and improvement of technology and resources, it is believed BMS can obtain a significant level of market share in the technology markets of education and leisure sector. Key to the growth of all these products and services is a focus on delivering flexible easy to use technology solutions that offer significant business advantage or learning resources for clients. In a very short space of time, BMS has become widely acknowledged as the leading technology contractor in Wales and the South West of England for education and sports stadia. The priority over the next five years is to sustain the growth rate by increasing UK market share. Other plans include continuing to invest in the development of young apprentices thus allowing BMS to continue to utilise in-house engineers.
