GRH Food Company

The motivation to start the business was the clear understanding of the opportunity and the opening within the marketplace to sell custom produced product to independent sectors within the market.

Our main challenges when starting the business

As with many new firms, the major challenge during the first three years were the financial requirements of the business in setting up costs of plant and equipment and financing of raw materials. A further challenge was in sourcing the correct members of staff that were capable of helping the business to grow at the current rate and manage the company with its on-going requirements.

Success Factor

GRH has grown by listening to its customer requirements and needs and the ability to consistently supply quality and service to meet all their requirements. In addition, the dedication of the team of staff in delivering quality and service and an ongoing investment in the right equipment to produce the required finished goods for the ever changing market place has seen the business reach a turnover of over £8million in 2009.

The Future

The future plans of the company are to continue the recent growth and investment in people and plant whilst maintaining and improving the profitability of the company. Recent plant and equipment development on site has enabled the company to strive forward with future plans of sales growth through enabling it to offer a wider range of products to all customers whilst becoming more efficient in its operations.
