Pembrokeshire based Trueform ltd is a specialist in reinforced cast-insitu and pre-cast concrete construction, as well as concrete repair and maintenance. The company also undertakes construction and civil engineering projects as the main contractor where a substantial part of the works includes concrete construction. The core base of its clients is drawn from large national and multinational providers of large scale infrastructure projects e.g. highways, water and waste water treatment and energy.

Origins

The business was established because of the founders’ desire to achieve and a belief that the service in their special field could be vastly improved from that which currently existed. The major challenges on establishing the business were demonstrating competence to prospective customers when the business has no previous trading history; financial security, maintaining and juggling cash flow; and procuring future orders whilst servicing existing customers.

Success factors

The key success factors for the company to date have been customer satisfaction, consistency in the standard and quality of service and completed product and building a ‘reputation’ within the industry.

The future?

In the short term, Trueform Ltd aims to maintain a positive trading position in the current economic climate. In the longer term, it aims to maintain the strength of its ‘core’ business, whilst identifying opportunities in respect of sustainability and environmental aspects within the industry and diversifying to successfully meet the future challenges of a market that will be demanding these criteria.
