Byw Bywyd/Livinglife

The business commenced trading in 1997 when two directors found a ‘gap’ in the market, in this part of the country for the provision of aids and adaptations for the elderly and disabled. The first major challenges were finance and a base for the development of the business.

Success Factor

The main factors in the success of Byw Bywyd are assisting Social Services and endeavouring to meet the needs of clients by demonstrating the products in homes when required and without pressure selling. The business ensures that all orders are delivered within the specified time and it has gained a reputation of reliability and dependency, added to which is the fact that the construction side of the business is of the very highest standard of work. The firm’s reputation and customer base has been the foundation for sustainable growth, allowing it to make an increasing contribution to the Ynys Mon and Gwynedd areas. Therefore the name of the business is now seen as synonymous with quality and customer service and it can source any product from any company for the requirements of clients.

The Future

Byw Bywyd intends to move to larger premises as it is quickly outgrowing its present showrooms and offices. In addition, given the location of the business, the intention in the near future is to export to the Republic of Ireland which is currently an unexplored area.
