The major challenge for the company in its early years was learning all the aspects of running a business from scratch, as none of the founding directors had any experience of this. The first few years were particularly tough and cash flow was also an issue. There were many times the founders thought about packing it in, but just kept going and worked harder at it. It wasn’t until year five that ACT had any real business stability.
